All pages/content editable by the client with a bespoke systems for; News Articles, Event Management, Link Tracking, Newsletters and 'Exploring London' visitor activities listings.

After performing a venue and corporate re-branding exercise, ExCeL London, the capital's state of the art exhibition, conference and event centre needed to revamp their website to reflect this new look. They also wanted to upgrade the site's offering to incorporate new developments, features and services. Profiling users into categories means they are presented with the most useful and pertinent information.

After a rigorous appraisal of the old ExCeL London site and extensive discussions with the website team, we devised a webtree that restructured the site's content offering. The ExCeL London site uses eGrail, a Content Management system with which we have a lot of experience and we were able to use this knowledge to create extra functionality that both enhanced the user experience AND offered ExCeL London better user feedback, as well as adding additional functionality.

We advised ExCeL London's advertising agency on the creation of web specific brand guidelines, that we then used in our design. Concurrent with the build, we also developed new applications, such as a link tracking system that provides ExCeL London with quantifiable marketing data.

All in all the new website has become far more task orientated, providing everyone from the casual visitor attending a show, through to Exhibition organisers with the information they want in only a couple of clicks. This has resulted in each user viewing more pages and staying longer on the site, as well as a general increase of traffic.
